The Rifle and Silhouette ranges will be closed again this Saturday, March 13th and Sunday, March 14th, from approximately 8:00 am until dark while work continues on the 300 yard berm. We do not yet have an estimated completion date. Additional info will be posted here as it becomes available.

We are now accepting bids for the 2010 mowing and bush hog contracts. Bidding is open to current ACSC members only. All bids must be delivered to an officer or director before bids are opened on Thursday, March 25, 2010. If you are interested then download the PDF document by CLICKING HERE.

Our club charter limits membership to 400 so we have discontinued accepting applications for new memberships as well as renewals from past members. The last opportunity to renew or join this year was on January 14th. New membership applications will not be considered until January of 2011.

Effective immediately the rifle range is limited to 200 yards. The 300 yard targets have been removed pending renovation of the 300 yard berm. Do not shoot beyond the 200 yard berm until further notice.

It is the responsibility of each and every member to keep the ranges safe. Make sure you understand and obey all the rules. Each rule is in place for a reason - to keep everyone safe and protect our club's property. If you see someone breaking a rule it is your responsibility to remind them of the rules (which are clearly posted on the ranges) and, if necessary, report them to a club officer. We must never become complacent.. We will be hosting a 3-D Archery match this Sunday, June 28th starting at 9am. As usual this match will be open to the public. Come out and enjoy a walk through the woods but watch out for the alligators, dinosaurs, and other critters with targets on their chests. Remember: the Rifle and Silhouette ranges will be closed during the archery match.

I would like to encourage everyone to come to the general meetings. This is a great way to find out about possible activities that might interest you. We are always needing people to help organize and support our activities. This month we will have representatives from the Bluegrass State Games who will be presenting a request for our club to host an event this year. A discussion and vote by the members present will decide. Come and make your voice heard.

The trap shoots are going well. We are averaging about 15 shooters each night. We would like to see some more of you come out. It is also open to the public. So invite a friend and come on out. Check TRAP page for all the info.

Come out to the club on October 18th and join us for food, games, shootin' and all around good fun. All members are welcome to attend and bring one guest family per member family. Lots of Give-Aways – Door Prizes – Game Prizes.

The club will provide hotdogs, hamburgers, buns, lemonade, water, and condiments. Please bring a covered dish per family to share and any additional beverages of your choice. Additional volunteers are still needed. To help or for more information send Jeanne a message.

On October 11th we will be holding an IDPA style match in the pistol pit from 9 am until noon. The match will NOT be open to the public and will not be sanctioned by the IDPA. Since we only have one pistol pit we will not be able to run multiple simultaneous stages but, depending on the turnout, we hope to offer 3 or 4 stages during the match.
