ACSC Special Events

A work day has been scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2009. The screened patio area of the clubhouse has been slated for a general reorganization and clean-up. We will start the day a bit later than usual for our work days -- about noon. Come on out and shoot with us at the Archery Match, then spend some time helping out the club.

This is a reminder that the BlueGrass State Games will be held at the PPC range and Rifle range this weekend. The ranges will be closed during the matches on Saturday and Sunday mornings but will be available for general use in the afternoons once the matches are over.

There will be a work day on Sunday 6-28-09. We need people to come out and help with projects around the club. Remember, this is an all-volunteer organization. Any assistance you can provide will be appreciated.

We've added Saturday, September 27 to our 2008 volunteer work day schedule. So far this year, 17 people have put in 147 hours scrubbing floors and windows, digging up rocks, filling up holes, painting, weed-eating, and other various chores. And, we still have a lot more to do to get the clubhouse fixed up. If you haven't joined us at a work day yet this year, this may be your final chance to become eligible for our gift certificate drawing.

Work Days are now scheduled for May through August as follows: May 31, June 28, July 12 and August 23. We will concentrate on Rifle Range work during the May and June work days. As always, our work days are held on Saturdays. They begin at 9:00 AM and continue until we are done with our tasks -- usually between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Lunch and water are provided by ACSC.

UPDATE: Clubhouse roof painting is complete! Thanks to all who helped.

We have designated the entire month of April as Clubhouse Work Month. During this month, we will give the clubhouse the full treatment Spring Cleaning and then some! An organized work day is scheduled for Saturday April 12th, with Saturday the 26th as rain date and/or finish-up day.
