Defensive Pistol Match

On October 11th we will be holding an IDPA style match in the pistol pit from 9 am until noon. The match will NOT be open to the public and will not be sanctioned by the IDPA. Since we only have one pistol pit we will not be able to run multiple simultaneous stages but, depending on the turnout, we hope to offer 3 or 4 stages during the match. If you are interested in honing your self-defense skills this is a good way to do it. For more information read the articles on the Pistol Range page by Clicking Here.

Christmas Is Coming

Christmas will be here before you know it so it’s time to get into the spirit of giving. Starting with the September general meeting, we will be having Silent Auction items up for bid at each general meeting through December. If you have any items you would like to sell or donate, please bring them to the meetings. We will be having 50/50 drawings as well and, as always, we have T-shirts, caps, and vanity ACSC license plates for sale. All proceeds benefit the Christmas Fund. There will be a large black tub set up in the back of the clubhouse in front of the large window for non-perishable donations and cash donations are very welcome. Please be generous! All your generosity will be greatly appreciated. In addition to raising funds, we can use all volunteers. There will be shopping for presents, wrapping the presents, shopping for groceries and delivery to the family. This is all done by volunteers! If you are interested in participating in any way, you can contact me at any time. Thank you for your interest, your participation, and your generosity.

Additional Rifle Range Closures - Updated

UPDATE: At the April Directors meeting it was decided by unanimous vote to also close the Silhouette Range during the 3D Archery meets. The steering committee, in conjunction with the safety committee, has been tasked with reviewing our site layout and recommending changes that will minimize range conflicts while improving overall safety.

The directors voted during the March meeting to close the rifle range during the 3D Archery meets due to safety concerns. Beginning March 29th, the rifle range will be closed from 9am to 4pm during the 3D Archery meets (typically the last Saturday of each month) until the newly formed Range Safety Committee can resolve the safety concerns. Check the calendar to verify the dates and times of each meet.
